Great hotel owned by Tibetans, very clean and calm place away from the madding crowd of noisy and dangerous motor bikes, very friendly and concerned staff and a beautiful garden where you can have meals and enjoy the silence and the company of Daisy, the hotel's dog.
ArgentinaVery comfortable and conveniently located The rooms are very comfortable and the location is the best, within walking distance to the stupa of Boudhanath. The staff is very nice and will do the best to make your stay an ejoyable one. 12/4/2016 9:10:03 PM
USAI lived at this hotel for over three months last summer and found it quite satisfactory. It is about a 7 minute walk north of the Stupa, just off the main road, Phulbari. They staff a 24-hour gate guard, so there is free entry and exit at any time, unlike many of the other area guest houses that close anywhere from 9 PM to 11 PM and re-open in early morning. The rooms are large and the hotel provides television service, breakfast, and will work to accommodate any special requests. Like anything, luxury is relative and undeniably the beds are a bit hard and the hot water supply unreliable. However, hotel manager Kunga is the star of the show and will bend over backwards to guide guests around town, take them shopping or to special attractions, and make other arrangements as needed. When I first arrived at the hotel, without my luggage, Kunga personally took me to the supermarket to get clothes and other supplies. Very few managers are going to go that far out of their way to help guests. Stayed July 2012, traveled solo

NepalI've spent time at Norbu Sangpo on different trips, from one week to three months and it is just the best place to stay in Bouddhanath. Very friendly atmosphere, large and comfortable rooms, a garden that seems like an oasis in the city, walking distance from the stupa, from all the terraces you can see the White Gompa. For most travelers i meet there, it's like being home. Comfortable, safe and clean. The staff is very helpful and friendly, there is good internet-something quite rare in Nepal- and good home food. Some rooms are small apartments with kitchen, good choice when staying for longer periods or with family. Stayed September 2015, traveled with family
